COMPANY PROFILE
The Housing Authority of Pikeville was established by the City of Pikeville in 1966 for the purpose of engaging in the development, acquisition, leasing and administration of a low-rent housing program. Under the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has direct responsibility for administering low-rent housing programs in the United States. Accordingly, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has entered into contracts with the Authority for purposes of assisting in financing the acquisition, construction and leasing of housing units and making annual contributions (subsidies) to the programs in order to maintain their low-rent status.
We are a smoke free housing authority.
